AN AFRICAN PERSPECTIVE ON THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF THE COLONIAL-STYLED COMMERCIALISATION OF ENDANGERED WILDLIFE SPECIES ADVERTISED AT JAGD UND HUND

Advertised is the largest most prestigious shopping paradise for hunters, the 41st Jagd Und Hund is a trade show held annually in Dortmund in Germany, this year the show will be held from the 24th to the 29th of January 2023.

The EMS Foundation signed an open letter written to the Mayor of Dortmund by the Wildlife Animal Protection Forum South Africa which has also signed by members of the Pro Elephant Network and endorsed by a number of wildlife conservationists, wildlife veterinarians, politicians and lawyers from around the world.

Not only does the content question the colonial sport of trophy hunting from a truly African perspective the content highlights the fact that a number of European countries and Britain have lost their appetite for trophy hunting in Africa.
