“BE FIRST” THE OVERSTRAND WHALE BOXERS HAVE EVERY REASON TO BE EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE

The boxers from the Overstrand Whale Boxing Club are a knockout according to the South African media.

Siphamandla Damesi of the Overstrand Whale Boxing Club was crowned the champion in his division at the South African National Boxing Organisation’s Youth and Elite National Boxing Championship held in Tzaneen in Limpopo Province.

All five of the boxers who participated in the national championship from the Hermanus based Overstrand Whale Boxing Club brought home medals.

Supporters of the OWBC boxers, Wells Amateur Boxing Club is situated in Somerset in the United Kingdom, donated new boxing boots for the boxers for this tournament.

Mzi Damesi has invited boxers from the Wells Amateur Boxing Club to the grand opening of the OBWBC new club premises which will take place in November 2023.  

The OWBC will host an international invitational tournament in Hermanus at the new boxing club which is currently under construction on the grounds of the Hermanus Waldorf School, in Sandbaai in Hermanus in late November 2023.

The event will showcase the remarkable raw talent and nurture the developing skills of all the boxing contenders. The boxers hope to captivate sports enthusiasts and impress everyone who attends.
